The School of Public Policy’s Board of Visitors works to advance the work of students and faculty by fostering interactions and opportunities with Penn State alumni, industry professionals, and other supporters. Established in 2021, the Board of Visitors members include industry professionals, interested supporters, Penn State alumni, and program alumni from policy schools. Industry professionals with or without Penn State affiliation will be recruited to allow for a unique and broad perspective that promotes diversity and allows the Board to meet its objectives.
How the Board of Visitors Supports the School of Public Policy
Members of the Board of Visitors support and promote the advancement of the School within and beyond Penn State while encouraging fellow alumni and supporters to contribute toward educational and career opportunities for students and graduates; assist with the recruitment of highly qualified students; and provide financial and other means of support to the School of Public Policy.
- Connecting with other alumni, faculty, staff, and students through meaningful programs, events, and communication.
- Supporting educational and career opportunities for students and graduates.
- Providing financial and other means of support to the School of Public Policy.
- Serving as mentors to students, sponsor internships and capstone projects, host events for students, assist in development and support programs to provide support for graduate students.
- Using their knowledge of political, economic, and competitive trends to provide insights on the strategic direction of the program and support for continuous quality improvement of educational programming.
