Short bio:AgustinaLaurito is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Policy, Management, and Analytics at the University of Illinois Chicago. Her research agenda examines the effects of social contexts, neighborhoods, and public policies on the educational and health outcomes of individuals and communities. Among her current projects she studies food and nutrition assistance programs, the effect of neighborhood and community violence on children and families, and the role that home country conditions play in shaping the outcomes of immigrants in the United States.
