William Delgado, senior postdoctoral associate at the Boston University Wheelock College of Education and Human Development, will present “Heterogeneous Teacher Effects, Comparative Advantage, and Match Quality” as part of the School of Public Policy’s Spring Speaker Series.

Delgado is an economist from Colombia who moved to the United States to pursue a master’s degree and a doctorate in public policy from the University of Chicago.

His overarching goal is to understand and address inequality in opportunities and foster human potential. Delgado’s current research studies teacher effectiveness and human decision-making, with a focus on parents. His fields of interest include labor economics, the economics of education, and behavioral economics.
