Yulya Truskinovsky, assistant professor of economics at Wayne State University, will present “Employment Shocks, Unemployment Insurance and Caregiving” as part of the School of Public Policy’s Spring Speaker Series.

Truskinovsky is a health economist who studies aging, long-term care and labor market outcomes. Her current research focuses on the impacts of social insurance programs on how individuals and families make decisions about work and family caregiving. She has published her work in outlets such as Medical Care Research and Review, the Journal of Human Resources, the Journal of Health Economics, and the American Journal of Public Health. She received her doctorate in Public Policy from the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University.
