Tim Powderly is vice president of public policy and government affairs for the Americas at Apple, where he oversees the company’s public policy advocacy throughout the region. He has more than twenty years of experience at the intersection of technology and public policy, including over a decade at Apple working on issues such as immigration, intellectual property, broadband deployment, tax, competition, data privacy, and cybersecurity. Before joining Apple, Powderly served as senior counsel to the U.S. House Subcommittee on Telecommunications and the Internet. He previously worked as a litigation attorney at Sidley Austin LLP and in public policy at Covad Communications. Powderly earned a J.D. from the George Washington University Law School (2005) and lives in Arlington, Virginia.
