Julio A. Ramos Pastrana is an applied economist with research interests in political economy, health economics, and resource and environmental economics. He is interested in the effect of political institutions on economic and environmental outcomes, as well as the role of public programs on people’s health and resource use. He earned a Ph.D. in economics from Indiana University, an M.A. in economics from El Colegio de México, and a B.A. in economics from the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
